  1. Jack

When the Angler Pro kayak is on the water it works wonderfully! I have had several issues with it however. Inflating the floor is very hard. The valve does not want to close which means I am inflating it several times each use. That’s a lot of work. There is little extra room on it. Fishing catch and Release is great. Lot of room, the chair is fantastic

I’ve been surprised there are no reviews on this kayak. I’ve only used it once so far on a lake, and I had my three year old in front of me and my 80 lb lab lying behind me. The kayak itself is great. It’s made well and handles great. The mounting rails work like they should. I tried standing up in it for a second, and while i’m pretty certain i would be comfortable standing in it for long periods of time, I sat back down immediately because my two co-pilots rocked the boat too much.

  3. Haziri

Just got back from my first trip. I’m very impressed. Sets up and takes down in just a few minutes. I highly recommend the inflator pump with a pressure gauge. I put a rod holder on the rear rail and it was very strong.

It was extremely stable. More stable that my previous hard shell Jackson kayak. It was also quick. I’m betting on an open lake with a decent wind it will get blown around a bit.

  5. Marron

I haven’t used mine yet. I borrowed one last summer on an Alpine lake. Tracked well, very sturdy with the brace. Great for fishing with a rod holder added.

  6. Fraglish

i have not used it for fishing yet. The 4th time using it on calm fresh water and the the shell split open while in open calm lake water. I wasn’t even paddling. I saw it bust open then the inner tube was protruding through. The liner has began to bubble in several places. My GF has one that is 300 and has had no trouble. I thought the higher cost was going to mean better durability. what a was of a grand

  7. Antony

Had to get creative to inflate kayak using my available pump. Overall a good product!

  8. basil

I love this kayak it is very valuable for all South Carolina lakes and rivers I had mines for 5 years and still going strong 💪 everyone this kayak is perfect for Crappie and brim fishing right here in South Carolina and when you purchase the kayak make sure you get a extended warranty I promise you this will do the job 😀

The StraitEdge Angler PRO takes fishing from an inflatable kayak to the next level! With a wide beam and Drop-stitch floor technology, you can feel confident standing up or bringing in big catches. Multi-layer material and multiple air chambers provide maximum durability for aggressive conditions. Its revolutionary Accessory Frame System offers a variety of easy access options.

  10. Flink

You can feel confident standing up for sight casting or while bringing in big catches! As shown in our inflatable standup paddle boards, drop-stitch technology allows us to create high pressure forms that are extremely rigid.

  11. Landry

    Design
Built-in aluminum ribs define the bow and stern and improve tracking while drop-stitch floor construction provides rigid stability.

The Accessory Frame System gives the ability to mount aftermarket rod holders, fish finder, and other equipment.

Fin box designed to hold an ElectraFin Motor.

The Straitedge 2 inflatable kayak is my 2nd inflatable kayak purchase and you defiantly get what you pay for with this kayak! It is high quality and very durable. It is easy to paddle and easy to inflate. Well worth the money

  13. Joele

    I’m very impressed and happy.
We have been using our 13’ Feelfree Corona tandem
So that’s what I have to compare.
Staitedge2 is well made and comfortable.
Much lighter so fast in the water
Only walks back and forth slightly under heavy row.
Fin support is not that good.

  14. Hariss

I already own the straitedge and now this StraitEdge2 Pro will complete our setup. Same good quality than my old straitedge

  15. Lucky

The first time you get the kayak I suggest taking it out and playing with it… set it up, take it down, inflate, deflate, etc… that way you don’t look like a total noob when you are out and ready to take it out for it’s maden voyage. Also on that note I wouldn’t suggest cristening it by shattering a bottle of champagne against the bow… just sayin’. Anyways, after familiarization, the kayak goes from packed up to completely set up in no more than 5 quick minutes and deflation and take down is even less… prolly around 3 or so. I guess my only complaint with the kayak itself would be the metal bar thing (accessory bar) to add attachments.

  16. Clive

We enjoyed this kayak for nearly five years until one of the valves went bad. I wrote the company for help with ordering parts and a new valve adaptor, etc but received no reply. Frustrating. I’ll be replacing this with another brand.

  17. Pitou

After considering many options for sit on Kayaks, for ease of handling and storage I opted for the inflatable .
Not dissappointed quick to inflate , deflate and most important fantastic quality . Two small negatives , accessory bar to far forward have to stretch a bit and the straps on the sides get in the way when paddling.

  18. Stipidiu

Well made Kayak, have yet to try, good price.Would of liked a paddle included but never mind.

I am a retired white water guide and outfitter from Idaho with over 30 years experience owning and operating inflatables. For my 64th birthday I got the Advanced Elements Straitedge Angler for exploring the rivers of Asia.
I made a video showing the “Advanced Elements Straitedge Angler Kayak” in action in Class 3 and 4 rapids on the beautiful Mae Taeng River, Thailand and a look at some of the kayaks features.

  20. calic

Very well built, really stable and handles w

  21. azeer

Safed alot wih this, greatly satisfied by my stuff

  22. Brandy

ust like my last boat (Sevylor Colorado) – just a few simple changes and this could be the perfect boat. I literally wore my Colorado out and always thought it was the perfect boat except for a couple small things (took forever to dry and had cheap pinch valves in some places that should have been boston valves).

  23. Neo

I was pleased by the short time it took to receive it, I was very happy with the kayak once it arrived. It’s easy and quick to inflate/deflate, the craftmanship is excellent, and it appears to be very durable. Like many of the reviews I read, it is something of a pain to dry before storing it. The numerous drain plugs on the bottom are cupped and water collects in and around them, making it difficult to absorb all the water. I found it best to open it up at home and allow it to air dry completely before storing it.
