10 reviews for Aquaglide Deschutes 110 Inflatable Kayak

  1. Carter

Like, portable and light, good glide
Dislike, floor too soft. Seat position too low and cushion not comfortable

  2. Mike

I got this kayak as a slightly bigger upgrade to my Aquaglide Chinook 90. And it is that upgrade. I was a little nervous about stability because of the different kind of floor, but it’s actually very stable. I just took it on a quick 3 mile paddle today, with a dock put in and take out, and it was great.

  3. Frans

Kayak is ideal for touring. Plenty of room for tent and sleeping bag plus food and water. Great stability and pretty good tracking.

  4. Michel

I’m an experienced kayaker with three different hard hulls, The lightest is at 31 pounds. I’ve been looking for a long inflatable for 10 years to be lighter and more portable. This fills the bill. Customer service from aqua glide is excellent as are the many accessories available. Note that there is no foot rest in this inflatable Deschutes.

  5. Daryl

Purchased my 110 Deschutes Aquaglide kayak 1.5 years ago and am glad that I did. There are 7 lakes in my community and I kayak all of them. I toss my rolled up kayak into the trunk of my small car and inflate it lakeside with a hand-pump in less than 10 minutes. It handles well in the wind and I continue to be pleasantly surprised at how well the kayak tracks

  6. Jems

This kayak amazes me. It handles the crop better than my $1200 11’ Santa.

Buy the low pressure Inflator. This inflates in under 10 minutes. It also deflates. There are 3 areas all easy to reach. The seat is comfortable and stable.

  7. Juddie

Very stable and I liked that the floor is not inflated. As a single person kayaker who is extra-large, this makes sense because whenever I’d put too much weight in one spot on the inflatable flooring it would bounce up on the ends and feel unstable (and let water in). This doesn’t. I wouldn’t probably be able to stand up in it but I’m also clumsy and don’t feel like trying. It did help with getting in and out though.

I take this camping with me as it folds up into a nice square Also can be hauled in a trunk of a car.

Background first – For years I had a Perception 14.5 Carolina kayak with rudder and loved to kayak the salt water in Rhode Island and nearby bays. As I got older, however, it became more and more difficult to load and unload the kayak from my vehicle, so I sold the kayak and thought that I was done.

Five years later, however, I wanted to start kayaking in local rivers and ponds and after much research settled on the 18 pound Aquaglide Deschutes Inflatable 11 foot Kayak. I am really impressed with the performance and comfort of the kayak. I also bought the Aquaglide hand pump thinking that if it was difficult or took too long to inflate, I could always buy an electric pump.

Like it, The bottom material is super sturdy. Maybe 1000 denier weight material? You probably want to minimize dragging it too much, and watch put for sharp rocks, shells, etc. But otherwise should be fine on beaches!
